Salazar's Alaska trip sidesteps Arctic drilling permits

Interior Secretary Ken Salazar wraps up his weekend trip to Alaska on Monday, but don't expect much news about Shell's bid to get the drilling permits it needs to begin exploratory wells in the Chukchi and Beaufort seas.
Salazar said before the trip began on Saturday that he would not announce the permits. He has a news conference planned in Anchorage on Monday, but his focus over the weekend was mostly onshore issues.
