Salazar sets federal solar zones in six western states

The Obama administration took its latest step Friday to advance solar power on public lands, approving special development zones in six western states.
The adoption of a programmatic environmental impact statement will target solar stations to 17 federally-controlled areas in Arizona, California, Colorado, Nevada, New Mexico and Utah, Interior Secretary Ken Salazar announced.
