President Barack Obama on Wednesday linked his support for the wind Production Tax Credit to climate change and wind energy jobs in Iowa, his first mention of global warming after avoiding the issue at his most recent presidential debate last night.

At a rally in Mt. Vernon, Obama challenged Republican nominee Mitt Romney's lack of support for a proposed one-year renewal of the credit, and noted that 7,000 jobs in the state rely on the wind industry.
