Obama administration proposes new wind tower tariffs on China, Vietnam

The Commerce Department on Friday ruled that China and Vietnam dumped wind energy towers in the United States at below market prices, a finding that could lead to tariffs and more trade tensions between Washington and Beijing.

The department found that tower makers in the two countries sold the utility-scale towers at below fair value margins ranging from about 21 percent to nearly 73 percent.
