Interior group to craft framework for future Arctic drilling decisions

The Interior Department said Monday it will create a centralized hub of scientific data and local knowledge to guide decisions on future Arctic oil and gas development.

The department's Alaska Interagency Working Group will also draft what Deputy Secretary David J. Hayes said will be an "Integrated Arctic Management" framework to compile information from multiple sources for use in setting development policy.
