EPA appoints former New Mexico environmental chief to replace Armendariz

The Environmental Protection Agency on Friday named former New Mexico Environment Department head Ron Curry to head its high-profile Dallas regional office. 

He will succeed former regional administrator Al Armendariz, who resigned under pressure last April after video surfaced of a 2010 speech in which he compared EPA enforcement policies to Roman crucifixions.
