A House Oversight and Government Reform subcommittee on Wednesday delves into the Renewable Fuel Standard with testimony from vocal opponents who describe the government's ethanol mandate as "irreparably broken." But the witness lineup has the ethanol industry claiming it is being unfairly shut out.

"This is all for show and to push Big Oil's agenda," said Tom Buis, the chief executive of Growth Energy. "A policy this important deserves more than a biased, attack-based, monopoly-protecting Big Oil spotlight," added Bob Dinneen, president of the Renewable Fuels Association.
