BLM to hold Alaska lease sale Nov. 7

The Obama administration will hold its second annual oil and gas lease sale on federal lands in Alaska on Nov. 7, the day after the fall elections.

A total of 400 tracts encompassing 4.5 million acres are being considered in the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska, the Interior Department announced Tuesday.
