Bill Clinton strongly endorses Obama energy plan

Bill Clinton strongly endorsed President Barack Obama's energy and environmental policies, telling Democratic conventiongoers and a national TV audience they will make driving cheaper and America less dependent on foreign fuel.

Thrust into the role of giving Obama's nominating speech Wednesday night, the former president called special attention to the administration's deal to raise fuel efficiency standards to 54.5 miles a gallon by 2025.
